Fix Your Joint Pain with Swimming
40% of Malaysians have bone and joint problems, according to studies. Joint pain like knee pain, shoulder pain, hip pain and neck pain are some of the most common problems you can find within people as young as 18 years old.
According to the Sun newspaper, 40% of Malaysians suffer from bone and joint problems.
Knee pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, foot pain, elbow pain, neck pain… all of these makes it difficult to get up from the bed and even fall asleep.
It’s also getting worse throughout the day when you’re going through your days normally.
Everyday life like doing house chores, working, commuting and even doing some leisure activities like shopping, can also start to become more challenging as the pain courses through your body parts or your whole body.
Studies have shown that swimming can help to relieve joint pain.
Because you know what…
When you swim, the buoyancy of the water supports your body weight, meaning…
Less stress is placed on your joints…
Which can reduce the pain you feel.
And it’s also best to swim in warm water too (which is what all OTSS swimming pools are)
Because warm temperature can help to soothe your joints and ease your pain.
And this is also one of the main reasons many of our adults have been with us for at least 1-3 years.
Because they know the benefits of swimming for their aging bodies + our pools are filtered, cleaned and maintained every single week to make sure our pools are hygienic and up to standard.
Many of the elders (some are even 70 years old) have verbally told us that swimming has completely changed their lives as they can FREELY move around without any joint pain.
And it makes me happier the other day when one reader sent me this through the email replies:
I must learn how to swim even though I’m already 56 years old. I’m determined.
